We want to hire one or two college students in every major city to expand our photo ID fundraising project. We sell Children's safety ID cards, printed on durable plastic. Parents can buy 3 ID cards and two shoe safety tags for only $9. Proceeds go towards adoption grants. These students must be able to pay attention to detail, show self-initiative, and be well organized. They should own or have access to a digital camera and a computer with Microsoft Excel. We generally offer this service to daycares and preschools. The daycares can have their name and phone number printed on the front of each card in the sponsorship position for free. The program is very well received, so it is not necessary for these students to present hard sales pitches. Simply dropping off a copy of the parent letter with the daycare manager will allow the program to sell itself.
Weekly duties will include: Scheduling one or two appointments a week at daycares and preschools in the area to take head shots of the children. While at each location, the individual will take pictures of each child, collect their information and payment, and enter the child's information into an Excel database.
Time requirements: Day care and preschool sizes range from 20 to over 100 students. Students should plan to spend a couple of hours taking pictures and then another couple of hours entering the data into the Excel spreadsheets.
Pay: Payment for this is on a commission basis. $2 for every child photographed. For example: If a student can average photographing 40 kids in 2 hours and then get all their information into the Excel Spreadsheet in 2 hours, that student would earn $20 an hour (40 students X $2 = $80 divided by 4 = $20). The only expense involved is printing or copying parent letters, but these can be printed in black and white and even at a shop like Kinkos this expense won't exceed $5 or $6 for a such a group. Even going at a slower pace, a student should be able to earn at least $10 an hour.Instructions for Applying ...
