Job Description: The role of the Product Ambassador is to execute in-store and event demonstrations in your market area.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Execute in-store and event demonstrations according to guidelines outlined in each program manual.
- Execute in-store and event demonstrations according to guidelines outlined by New Product Movers.
vRead and study training manual in advance of scheduled demonstration date.
- Attend training seminar, when required.
- Must use Client’s data card according to guidelines outlined by the Client.
- Complete demo report forms within 24 hours after the demonstration.
vReport demonstration information via telephone within 24 hours after the demonstration according to New Product Movers’ procedures.
- Provide a weekly time sheet detailed by program to the Home Office.
- Provide demo report forms and receipts for each program to the Home Office within 48 hours after the demonstration.
Skills Required:
- Prior demonstration experience a plus.
- Ability to sale the products that are being sampled.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable talking with consumers in a retail environment.
- Ability to talk intelligently about product features and benefits.
- Experience and comfortable using electric skillets, microwaves, crock-pots, etc.
- Reliable – must have good attendance.
- Self-starter, organized and detail oriented.
- Flexible and adaptable.
- Able to respond quickly under pressure.
Other Requirements:
- Must be available to work Sunday thru Saturday as needed to meet the requirements of the job (primarily Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
- Knowledge of retailer’s policies and practices (stay current, if policies change).
- Must be able to stand for 6 to 7 hours per demo day.
- Dependable transportation.
- Good hygiene.
- Possess the ability to lift a maximum of 35 lbs.
Dress & Equipment Requirement:
- White collard shirt.
- Black pants or skirt.
- Comfortable black shoes (no open toed shoes).
- Gloves, hairnet/bouffant, and aprons must be worn if conducting a food demonstration or event.
- Card table (for conducting demos)
- White table cloth
- Electric skillet.
