Requirements: Varies depending on program. Average applicant has 2.5 GPA or higher and is a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. International students are welcome, but will not be eligible for all internships.

SCA's Diversity Program facilitates environmental career exploration for people of color and people with disabilities. Interns receive, apart from their stipend, free travel and assistance in finding housing at the job site, if housing is not provided. Internships are located nationwide, including Hawaii and Alaska, and provide career experience in nearly every field/major possible (excluding health services and law enforcement). Interns are eligible to earn possible academic credit. Some paid internships are available. Diversity Interns are invited to participate in an Opening Orientation, at which they receive leadership, teamwork, and conflict resolution training.
