The Continuing Education Intern assists in planning and implementing a year-round adult and children�s program and gains a comprehensive exposure to an extensive life-long learning program. Ongoing responsibilities include preparation, set-up, and assistance for our courses, workshops and lectures, including the operation of audiovisual equipment, plant material collection for horticulture and botanical art courses, floral design preparation, development of self-guided study walks, course manual preparation, and web-site updates. The intern also assists with plant society flower shows. This internship offers diverse opportunities to become involved with many areas of the gardens and to interact widely with staff, instructors, and lecturers.
Candidates must be in college, or recently graduated.
This position involves some evening and weekend hours. It is a one-year position beginning in June.
